Since opening in 2017, this chic neighbourhood trattoria from hospitality heavyweights Eddie Levy (Lobo Plantation and Kittyhawk) and Adam Abrams (The Island and Osborn House) continues to entice diners with its authentic Italian menu and relaxed, fun ambiance. It's a perfect escape for anyone dreaming of an Amalfi-style experience in the heart of Double Bay.
Head chef Angelo Malerba draws on 25 years of experience gained in kitchens worldwide, including local institutions Otto and Via Alta. Inspired by his childhood in Puglia, Malerba uses local produce to execute dishes such as beef tartare with shallots, mustard, fried capers, cucumber, quail Egg and crostini; and Matteo’s famous spicy vodka rigatoni. Proteins include bone-in veal cotoletta Milanese, and a 250-gram eye-fillet with truffle mash potato and jus.
Mattia Bertolani (ex-Bel & Brio) helms the bar, and guests can expect a signature and classic cocktails including the Cheeky Girl (Tanqueray gin, Chambord, raspberry puree, ginger syrup, lemon, egg white) and the Spicy Meloni (chilli-infused tequila, watermelon and lime juice, agave syrup).
