In a warehouse at The Rocks, you’ll find a multi-level immersive exhibition by the group behind lolly-themed experience Sugar Republic. Expect colourful confetti showers, a teddy bear “tunnel o’ love” and giant rose-coloured glasses.

Love in all its forms – self-love, romantic love, and love for friends and family – is at the heart of the Museum of Love, a new immersive exhibition in a converted The Rocks warehouse. The experience – from Creative Nation, the group behind lolly-themed exhibition Sugar Republic, which popped up in Sydney in 2019 – creeps across three levels of the heritage-listed warehouse, with Instagrammable backdrops and immersive art installations aplenty.

The exhibition runs the gamut of love-related experiences – from crushes to weddings, strip shows and heartbreak. Visitors get to take colourful confetti showers, stroll through a “tunnel o’ love” crafted from teddy bears, discover their perfect zodiac match, kick back in a heart-shaped mini ball pit and look through enormous rose-tinted glasses.

The Scents of Love wall will challenge guests to “guess the smell”, and they’ll also get to visit a Vegas-inspired chapel of love. And for those who love to practise a bit of self-love, there’s a selfie room with mirrored walls.

Creative Nation’s own team of creatives has put together the exhibition, with the help of local artists Jade Goodwin and Madeleine Golden.

The Museum of Love will run at 47 George Street, The Rocks, from March 5 to April 18. Tickets are available here.
