Mardi Gras Party 2019

Sat 2nd March, 2019
Playbill Venues and Entertainment Quarter, Moore Park
Price: $186.20
The first artists for the post-parade party are here, and it promises to be a doozy.

It’s hard to top a Mardi Gras Party headliner as big as Cher, but next year’s line-up confirms there is life after love.

Jake Shears of the Scissor Sisters has been announced as headliner of this huge shindig, ahead of his spot supporting Kylie Minogue on her upcoming Australian tour.

Sydneysiders are likely to Embrace multi-award-winning Aussie dance-partiers PNAU when they take to the stage after this year’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade, along with German pop sensation Kim Petras.

PNAU’s 2017 album Changa attracted an ARIA each for its hits Chameleon and Go Bang, and their 2012 remix collab album with Elton John, Good Morning to the Night, hit number one in the UK. Petras has had a few big-name collaborations of her own with the likes of Charlie XCX, and Sophie, and recently toured the US with queer icon Troye Sivan.

The two acts are the first of many local and international artists to be announced for the party, with DJs Amanda Louise, Ben Drayton, Brooke Powers, Butch le Butch, DJ Charlie Villas, DJ Hamo, the Dollar Bin Darlings, Dom de Sousa, Feisty, HipHopHoe, Kitty Glitter, Magda Bytnerowicz, Matt Jay, Sveta, Toy Armada (PH) and DJ Grind (USA), and Victoria Anthony to join them.

The rest of the line-up will be released in the New Year, and previous parties have starred George Michael, Calvin Harris, Kylie and Dannii Minogue, Cyndi Lauper, and the Presets, so you might want to grab your tickets early.

From 10pm to 8am.
