Two Good Co Cafe
Features
Two Good Co is a social enterprise working to support women at risk of domestic violence and homelessness. It’s best known for its buy-one-give-one salads and soups – for every meal bought, where a donation is made to another local women’s refuge for every meal bought. It’s also launched a cookbook and self-care products, and trains at-risk women with the skills they need to work in hospitality roles.
Set within a heritage-listed former church, Two Good’s cafe is one of a number of social-impact businesses in Darlinghurst’s Yirranma Place, a hub founded by philanthropic organisation, Paul Ramsay Foundation.
The kitchen, led by head chef Heather Cook, continues Two Good’s legacy of working with world-renowned chefs (Nigella Lawson and Yotam Ottolenghi are past collaborators), with monthly toasties, salads and baked treats from leading Australian cooks and restaurateurs such as Darren Robertson (Three Blue Ducks) and Matt Moran (Aria).
On the daily menu are signature soups, salads and toasties. The cafe also serves coffee from social enterprise Kua, and Two Good’s cookbooks, gifts and candles (designed in partnership with Maison Balzac) are also sold on-site. As ever, proceeds are used to continue Two Good’s mission to empower at-risk women.
