Since 2013, Michael Shafran has been dedicated to serving Sydneysiders with hearty New York-style bagels. In 2020 he converted the carpark of his Brooklyn Boy Bagels bakery to a drive-through, letting people grab the good stuff to go. Look out for the firetruck-red walls and neon sign that identifies the industrial-chic spot.

The bagels are carefully made over two days with options including plain, blueberry, sesame, poppy seed and the fan favourite “everything” (topped with poppy, sesame and caraway seeds, plus garlic and onion). There are also 285-millilitre tubs of cream cheese in an array of options, packs of lox (cured salmon) and more.

While you’re there, grab a takeaway coffee made with beans from Little Marionette.
