Theo's Social Club
Theo’s Social Club is exactly what it says on the label – a place where you can be yourself, rock up and leave when you please, and mingle with friends over wine and snacky things. It’s also the neighbourhood bar Noosa was missing for too long.
Inside is intimate and cosy, with vinyl-spinning and a hum running across the kitchen disguised as a bar. Pull up a stool here, or head upstairs to the petite loft and sink into an armchair while you peruse the seasonal menu. On the other hand, outside in the arcade beneath the fairy lights is where you want to be on balmy summer evenings.
You don’t have to know your pét-nat from your gewurztraminer here. The friendly staff will all but hold your hand, instilling their knowledge and making you feel like a semi-somm after a few glasses sampled from the extensive wine list.
Fresh briny oysters are a fitting choice to kickstart proceedings, but so too is a cheese plate. If you’re in the mood for something more substantial, a revolving roster of pasta dishes will satiate those cacio e pepe cravings. Theo's also runs an in-house pickling program, the fruits of which you'll taste with each new visit.
The best kinds of friends are the ones you can just pop in on, which is why Theo’s doesn’t take bookings. Just walk right in, sit right down and see where the night takes you.
