The Prosecco Road is a food and wine trail that winds through a leafy region of Victoria’s King Valley – an area where prosecco grapes thrive.
Brown Brothers – who have been making wine in the King Valley for 130 years – is one of many vineyards producing premium prosecco in Victoria’s north-east, three hours’ drive from Melbourne. Otto Dal Zotto (of Dal Zotto Wines) was the first to plant prosecco vines in the valley in the 1990s.
In this video, Brown Brothers winemaker Geoff Alexander outlines why King Valley has the perfect climate conditions for producing prosecco – and perhaps gives you some inspiration for your next weekend away.
