When tasked with picking some of her favourite spaces in Melbourne, Adele Winteridge – founder and CEO of Foolscap Studio in Collingwood – couldn’t help but pick a location close to her heart: her office.
Watch above as Winteridge invites us into Foolscap’s calm and spacious studio, which has been designed to feel more like a home than a workspace. Residential touches such as a light-filled communal kitchen, an open fireplace and greenery deliberately create a sense of comfort and community. Foolscap’s airy design was a deliberate move to be “less corporate” and more human.
“Workplace happiness is more than aesthetics,” Winteridge says. “We really wanted the space to be an inspiring place to come.”
Winteridge is a mentor for the Mercedes-Benz Design Award – the winner will be announced soon.
