Award winning playwright, Kate Mulvany brings us a moving tale of war, betrayal and redemption that will haunt you well beyond the stage.

The playwright and writer that has crafted award-winning masterpieces such as ‘Blood and Bones’ and ‘The Danger Age’ now teams up with Max Gilles, Sara Gleeson and Tony Martin to unveil her latest stage production, ‘The Seed.’

Muylvany tells a semi-autographical story that traces one mans traumatic struggle to rise from the ashes of the Vietnam War and reunite with his Father in the house he grew up in. For the first time, Mulvany shares the limelight by giving away the central character to another young actress, who takes the part of Rose to a delicate new territory.

This composition has been met with praise, winning the best independent production award and has been nominated for best new Australian work in the 2007 Sydney theatre awards.

Take a seat, and be transported on a journey into the elusive labyrinth of time as the past interjects into the present and old suppressed war’s collide with new ones.

The Seed opens Feburary 22 at the Arts Centre in Melbourne.
