MFWF: Drinks With Nigella
English food writer, cookbook author, TV star and mee-crow-wah-vay user Nigella Lawson is headlining this year’s Melbourne Food & Wine Festival. And no surprise: her Sunday long lunch sold out in just a few hours. But a second event has just been announced.
It’s called Drinks With Nigella, and the inimitable food personality is taking to the stage at Fed Square alongside cookbook author, broadcaster and Masterchef alum Alice Zaslavsky.
They’ll be chatting about food – of course – as well as Nigella’s personal approach to cooking, the power of sharing a meal, the versatility of ingredients and “a loving defence of brown food”, among other topics that touch on her career and love of food.
Guests will be treated to savoury bites, vino from Pizzini Wines, Mitchelton Winery and Tahbilk Winery, and soft drinks and water by Capi at a standing function ahead of the talk.
Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday March 11 and cost $115 each.
