Yunuen Pérez, costume designer, and Sissy Reyes, cinematographer, join together in this exhibition of striking and vibrant photographs labelled Mex-tli, Mexican Goddess. With only twelve images to the exhibition, the attention to detail is very clear, as each piece being shown tells a beautiful and poignant story of its own. The images challenge the stereotypical conception and representation of Mexican women in Australian society. Each photograph combines the the themes of displacement, tradition and ritual. The exhibition will take place at fortyfivedownstairs in May.
