Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show 2019
If your apartment is full of leafy green plants and your salads are dotted with homegrown herbs from your backyard, then the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show presented by Lawn Solutions Australia – the city’s annual botanic extravaganza – might just be your ideal day out.
Returning once again to the grounds of the Carlton Gardens, the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show has five days of immersive activities and entertainment scheduled, as well as plenty of greenery to see and buy onsite. If you’ve turned misting indoor ferns into an art form – or you just want to get started on your collection – head over to learn some new gardening and DIY tips.
Inside the Royal Exhibition Building you’ll uncover thousands of blooms in a showing of floral art, interior design (including wedding décor inspiration), and a special high tea experience. For nocturnal plant-lovers, the Flower and Garden Show will open its gates until 9pm on March 29 for Gardens by Twilight. Drop down after work for a night of drinks from Holgate Brewhouse, Goodman Wines, The Prosecco Van, and Seedlip (a non-alcoholic spirit).
Visit the Food Village for gourmet snacks and the Gallery Precinct to stock up on herbs and plants for your own budding backyard.
To celebrate the opening of the show, all ticket buyers have the chance to win a $500 gift card to spend onsite. Book your tickets now to enter into the draw. (And don't worry – if you bought a ticket prior to February 26, you’re still entered into the draw). The winner will be announced on the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show’s Facebook page.
