Life Drawing at Missing Persons Gallery

Wed 1st March, 2023 – Wed 29th March, 2023
Missing Persons, Nicholas Building
Room 12, Level 4, 37 Swanston Street, Melbourne
Price: $20
Draw the nude form and explore the boundaries of your artistic creativity with weekly life drawing classes to suit all skill levels. Plus, it’s BYO (or get a glass of wine for a gold coin donation).

The Nicholas Building, one of Melbourne’s most storied properties, is home to more than 200 eclectic enterprises and businesses that make up a vertical village of artisans and traders. One of them is Missing Persons, an independent multidisciplinary arts space and gallery that houses exhibitions, dance shows, theatre, live comedy, book launches, pop-ups and more. It also hosts life drawing classes.

At the untutored sessions, guests are given art and paper supplies, then allowed to freely use their creativity to depict the human form as it is, or how they see it.

Missing Persons founder Louise Klerks has been hosting life drawing classes since 2008, previously at No Vacancy Gallery and 1000 Pound Bend.

Tickets to the classes cost $20 each and include drawing materials, paper supplies and use of a drawing board. You can BYO food and drinks to the class, or wine is available for a gold coin donation.

Hours:
Mon & Tue 7pm–9pm
Wed 4pm–6pm & 7pm–9pm
