Sold Out: Editors’ Preview Night at Maha North
Located on Collingwood’s Smith Street, Maha North (formerly Maha Bar) is a classic neighbourhood wine bar by Shane Delia – the man behind popular Melbourne’s restaurants Maha and Maha East. From green and gold hues to mirror-adorned walls, Maha North feels like a cosy European brasserie but with Middle Eastern flair. The focus and drawcard, though, is the menu of meze-style snacks and modern spins on traditional Middle Eastern mains.
You could be one of the first to experience Maha North when it opens exclusively to Broadsheet Access members and Broadsheet editors on March 23 – just days after its official opening.
At our Editors’ Preview night, enjoy a one-night-only bespoke Access menu showcasing some of Maha North’s best dishes, as well as a few off-menu items. There will be Wagyu rump cap with creamy harissa; hummus topped with roast capsicum, dill and onions; haloumi dressed with honey, fig and lemon thyme, and butter-roasted walnuts; and more. Plus, Maha’s signature Iraqi flatbread with toum.
You’ll also have the chance to purchase wines from a 150-strong list of local and international drops. Or, try a bespoke Maha North cocktail.
On the night, Broadsheet publications director Nick Connellan will host a Q&A with Delia to chat about how Maha North came to life and how it aims to bring all the best of Maha to the inner north.
Tickets to this event are now sold out, but you can join the waitlist via Access.
This event is exclusively available to Broadsheet Access. If you’re not already a member, you can join for less than the price of a cocktail each month.
