The Brooklyn Block Party in Tattersalls Lane
The Brooklyn Block Party is back for another year at Tattersalls Lane favourites Section 8 and Ferdydurke as part of the 2018 Good Beer Week celebrations.
The downstairs container bar will become the "Brooklyn Zoo", with live music and DJs giving a nod to the East Coast hip-hop scene, and live street art by local artists and one of Complex magazine's "Most Influential Street Artists of All Time", The Bushwick Collective's El Cekis, visiting from Brooklyn.
There'll also be a pop-up barber shop by Richmond-based Beef Barbers offering $5 cuts if you feel like looking your sharpest.
Upstairs, Ferdydurke will transform into the “Coney Island Disco Palace” with a carnival-inspired menu and obligatory hot-dog-eating competition. It wouldn’t be a disco palace without DJs too, and there's plenty of those.
The bar will also be stocking an exclusive range of Brooklyn Brewery beers, usually only available in the US.
The block party goes from 2pm-1am and entry is free.
