Beef, Butter, Truffles and Wine
There’s nothing quiet like sharing an innovative meal with friends. And for one night only, some of the most flavoursome (and favourite) foods are coming together to make the ultimate culinary combination. To celebrate talented producers in Australia, The Point at Albert Park Lake is hosting Beef, Butter, Truffles and Wine – a five-course dinner inspired by these four beloved ingredients.
The degustation dinner by The Point chef Justin Wise also coincides the fresh truffle season. Pepe Saya butter will be joining forces with truffle hunter Simon Friend of fine food purveyors Friend & Burrell to release their new truffle butter. Bringing the beef is meat maestro Neil Prentice of Moondarra, where wagyu cattle roam free and put forth soaring flavours. And to wash it all down, drops by McLaren Vale wine maker Brioni Oliver.
And if you’re not satiated by that point, attendees will get an opportunity to taste the newly released 2012 white wine from Oliver’s Taranga along with Neil’s grass-fed, dry-aged Tajimi beef.
