The renowned chef is stepping into the gallery restaurant’s kitchen to cook a four-course menu with Palette’s head chef.

Marco Pierre White is heading to Australia for his Out of the Kitchen tour, where you can hear him discuss his humble beginnings and how he rose the ranks to become one of the world’s most famous chefs. But if you want to do more than just listen – if you want to eat – there’s only one place where you can try his food while he’s Down Under.

For one night only, he’s stepping into the kitchen of fine-diner Palette, housed in the Gold Coast’s Home of the Arts Gallery, to cook an exclusive 80-seat dinner with the restaurant’s head chef Dayan Hartill-Law.

The two are co-curating a four-course menu highlighting local Queensland produce, with a wine pairing of top drops. Guests can watch White in action working the open kitchen, and there’ll be a 15 to 20-minute Q&A during the meal.

At just 33, White became the first British chef (and the youngest) to be awarded three Michelin Stars. A chef, restaurateur and television personality, he’s credited as being the first ‘rock and roll’ chef and has inspired some of the biggest personalities in the cooking. Curtis Stone and Shannon Bennett both trained with him, as did Heston Blumenthal, Gordon Ramsay and Mario Batali.

He’ll be in Australia for his Out of the Kitchen tour, where he’ll discuss everything from arriving in London from the north of England with “£7.36, a box of books and a bag of cloths” to his classical training as a commis chef with Albert and Michael Roux at Le Gavroche.

Tickets to the dinner aren’t available just yet, but you can register your interest to be notified when they’re live.
